The Boquete Jazz Festival is scheduled for March 1st thru 4th, and the promotion committee has been scheduling free concerts in the park once a month on Sundays. Today, Boquete's own blues band, known as B3 was playing to an enthusiastic crowd. The locals held back, watched and enjoyed the music, while the immigrants rocked to classic tunes sung by Ruben Blades' bilingual niece.
The Boquete Blues Band, B3, is quite good, and will be appearing on Jan 21st at Amigos and on Jan 28th at Las Ruinas. Consider going if you'll be in town. There are several international bands scheduled for the March Festival, and it looks as though this year will be an improvement over last year's, which was also good. Here's hoping....
